BUILD BATTLE 3D
Did you know... our brains have different systems for 2D and 3D perception. During Distance Learning, our brains need all the 3D boosts we can get (read more HERE).
In this 4-Week, online STEM class, you'll experience the thrill of engineering your own inventions out of recycled materials. You'll be challenged to use your creativity, critical thinking and 3D engineering skills to build to a theme. Let's get those mind-muscles moving, and have fun doing it!
For this class, you'll need a small collection of items from your recycling bin, like cardboard boxes, egg cartons, paper towel rolls, plastics, scrap paper, or packing materials. Also, tape, markers, scissors (and hot glue if you have it), to put your creations together.
THIS WEEK: EGG DROP CHALLENGE 2: How will you construct a contraption to keep your egg safe from a 6 foot drop? (If you participated in Egg Drop Challenge 1, this is your chance to try a brand new build!) Materials Needed: Recycled items (things like: packing materials, boxes, string, straws, balloons, etc...) 1-2 eggs, 1 plastic baggie (if dropping your egg indoors), measuring tape, stepstool (or other way to from your egg from 6-7 feet)
Time: Tuesdays 4pm
