Camp Cosmo's CIT Program
(CIT = Counselor in Training)
For Ages 13-16 (7th-10th Grades)
Camp Cosmo's CIT Program is designed with the older camper in mind; kids who love camp but are ready to transition from Camper to Leader.
Cosmo CITs will have the best summer ever, while gaining important job readiness skills and experience.
Benefits of being a CIT
1) Have fun while gaining Job/Leadership Experience for highschool/college applications
2) Get a Letter of Recommendation from the head of Camp Cosmo (upon request)
3) Opportunity to Earn Money, with growth over time.
4) Make contacts for Babysitting
Ages 17-18 may apply to be Junior Counselors. Email for more info.
CITS register and pay for each week at Camp Cosmo, just like campers. All forms and waivers must be filled out prior to their first day. CITs must follow all Covid Safety precautions implemented by Camp Cosmo, and must be able to help out in the ocean on Beach Day.
Space is LIMITED. Only 2-4 CIT spots are available per week.

Your first week at Camp Cosmo is CIT Training week (unpaid), where you will learn how to support the philosophy & schedule of Camp Cosmo, as well as safety protocols, conflict resolution skills, job readiness skills.
Once your CIT Training Week is complete, you are eligible to earn money as a full-fledged CITs (if approved by Camp Cosmo). How much you make depends on how many weeks you work.*
1st-3rd Weeks (after training week) = $150 per week
4th-7th Weeks = $200 per week
*Total Weeks can carry over beyond this summer, to Winter Camp, Presidents Week, Spring Break & next summer, so you can earn all year long.
